Daniel Livingstone
Daniel Livingstone works at a Scottish university, and teaches a variety of computer science classes round the general topics of computer graphics and game development. His research has veered from inter-disciplinary work with Artificial Life (with a PhD on using computer models to investigate the evolution of human language and languages), to applied Artificial Life for games. Now attempting to work on the use of virtual worlds for education.
Daniel veers between being a cynical observer of technology trends to being a full on participant.
Daniel uses a nice leather-bound paper diary to keep himself organised, having given up years ago trying to use handheld computers for the purpose. The diary isn’t perfect, and doesn’t have an alarm feature, but it works a lot better than the handheld computer ever did.
Daniel also maintains his own blog, learninggames.
