Welcome to Digital-Ethos
Ethos: From the three forms of persuasion set out by Aristotle (pathos and logos being the other two. Ethos is a sense of moral character, the feeling that we get when we hear someone speak and we know they speak the truth and that we can trust them.
Do you have ethos? Digital ethos?
Self-branding, networking, marketing…why should we care? Isn’t this the stuff of big PR companies? Why should average Joe need to market himself?
The best way to get an answer to these questions is to simply look around. The world has changed. Unlike our parents and their parents, who may have worked for the same secure, stable company their whole lives, our careers will not be so simple. The economy has changed; the way we work has changed; WE have changed. As citizens of a much more global society, we can’t limit ourselves to the local scene if we want to succeed. It’s important for us to expand and reach out using the digital handshake that we now have access to.
No matter who we work for, ultimately, we work for ourselves. No one else is as vested in our success as we are. This is what Digital-Ethos is all about. Here you will find advice and ideas from folks who are out in the digital-trenches, learning to promote themselves and their companies in a brave new world. You’ll find tips, success stories, news and more.
We hope you’ll visit often and contribute!
